Bruins Host Final Last Chance Meet for Indoor Nationals

NEWBERG, Ore. -- The George Fox track and field held a mini meet on Wednesday afternoon, where the Fox looked to put athletes into the Individual National Chapionships.

Top Performers
Dieumerci Migani long jumped an impressive 23-07.25, good for third in the record books and the furthest mark all time by a freshman. The jump puts him just out of the top 20 nationally. 

Scott McBride has a 45-09.75 in the shot put to put himself third overall in the GFU indoor records.

Several other Bruins competed in the field events as well, with no track events held. Tiger Brunk took first in the high jump, with Marina Carol and Madelyn O'Hare winning the women;s high jump with a mark of 4-11.00.

Tayler Phillips and Alison Young continued their dominance in the pole vault, beating out their teammates with marks of 11-06.25 and 12-01.50. Isaac Brunk and Bella Dean rounded out the events with wins in the triple jump.

The Bruins will compete outdoors with the Linfield 10k as well as the Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker in McMinnville. The Indoor National Championships, held in Birmingham, Ala., will take place March 10-11.
