SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Athletes from the George Fox track and field team set several good marks at the Jim Klein Combined events, which featured the men's decathlon and the women's heptathlon .

Top Performers
In the decathlon, Taylor Phillips scored 6,126 points — finishing first in the 100 meter sprint and the 110 meter hurdles — as he came in second overall. His teammates Levi Gibson and Blake Smith came in fourth and seventh respectively. 

For the heptathlon, Brecken VandenHoek took first in the javelin and third overall in the day's competition, scoring 4,624 points. Elizabeth Jensen finished in sixth place, while Jenna Hunstman and Breeauna O'Rear came in eighth and ninth.

What Comes Next
The rest of Fox's competing athletes will participate in the Westmont Classic tomorrow, March 25. The first events of the day start at 10 am.
