PORTLAND, Ore. – The George Fox track and field team competed at the Lewis & Clark Invite in their last meet before conference championships next week, with several Fox athletes taking top spots in their events.
Top Performances
In the women's 10,000 run, sophomore
Kara Lyda took fourth with a time of 41:08.
In the women's 3000 meter steeplechase, Jennesa Teachout narrowly beat out the third place finisher, taking second place with a time of 12:07.
Trevor Wilber glided his way into fourth place in the men's 1500 meter run, with a time of 3:55.
Ayahna Bahati took first place in the 110 meter hurdles, with a blistering time of 15.56 seconds.
In the men's 800 meter, two Fox runners cracked the top five as Aldin Williams took fourth with a time of 1:56, and
Dillon Rising in fifth with a 1:57.
Hannah Tranby took fifth in the women's 800 with a time of 2:18.
James King lept his way into first place in the men's high jump with a mark of 6-10.25, which qualified him for nationals.
What Comes Next
The Bruins compete in the Northwest Conference Championships next weekend, where they are expect to be in the running for the top spot as a team.
