CORVALLIS, Ore. – On the second day of events, the George Fox track and field team had multiple athletes competing in the OSU High Performance Meet.
Top Performances
In the first track event of the day, the Bruins 4x100 meter relay team of
Davis Baker,
Byron Morris,
Garet Wisenbaker, and
Dieumerci Migani ran a time of 41.52, which was good enough for them to finish in third place.
Byron Morris ran for the second time on Sunday and placed seventh in the men's 100m with a personal record time of 10.77. Six more Bruins completed the 100m, with five having personal best times.
Tied for the top placing Bruin on the weekend,
Austin Gappa finished second in the men's 5000m with a time of 14:43.93 late on Friday night.
Ayahna Bahati ran in the women's 100m hurdles and finished in fifth place with a time of 14.85, another Fox athlete with a personal record on the day.
In the men's javelin, sophomore
Gabe Johnson threw 55.35m, good for seventh place. In the women's javelin, junior Ellen Corwin placed 15th with a throw of 39.05m.
What Comes Next
The Bruins will send athletes to compete at the Oregon Twilight meet hosted by the University of Oregon next Friday, with events starting at 1:00 pm.
