Harrell Places Fifth, Bruins Up to Sixth in Fall Classic

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. -- The George Fox men's golf team improved to sixth place in the NWC Fall Classic, finishing with a combined score of 602 (+34). 

Top Performances
Spearheading the Bruins on the second day of the NWC Fall Classic was Eli Harrell, who maintained consistency throughout the round with birdies on the 2nd, 10th, and 13th holes to shoot even par with a score of 71. Harrell's total score of 146 (+4) secured him 10th place individually in the tournament.

Truman Fletcher started strong on the front nine, birdieing the 5th hole for a score of 36. He added another birdie on the 16th and finished the day with a 76 (+5), bringing his total tournament score to 148 (+6).

Joel Martinez Jr. struggled early, shooting five bogeys on the front nine, but recovered on the back nine with birdies on the 10th and 18th holes. He carded a 78 (+7) for the day and finished with a total score of 152 (+10), placing 27th overall.

Luke Powell finished strong with a birdie on the 18th hole, recording an 80 (+9). Ian Powers rounded out the day for the Bruins, shooting an 81 (+10). Both Powell and Powers ended the tournament tied for 35th place with total scores of 157 (+15), respectively.

The Bruins advanced to sixth place in the tournament overall, scoring 602 (+34). Willamette University was able to hold onto their first place finish after the second round with a score of 577 (+9). Whitman's Mason Remington led the tournament with an individual score of 140 (-2), claiming his spot as the medalist in the 2025 NWC Fall Classic. 

What Happens Next
The Bruins will head to Walla Walla, Wash. to compete in the Confluence Classic on Sunday, October 19, in their final event of the fall.
