HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference office announced its Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of September 30th through October 6th, with Marisa Lam and Emily Foote named to the weekly honor roll.

Lam recorded 20 total saves over two back-to-back games giving the Bruins a clean slate for the weekend and earning her second Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week award. Lam played 90 minutes in both contests, recording six saves against Whitworth and 14 saves against Whitman to earn two points for Fox despite no goals scored. Lam has saved 46 total shots with a 94% save percentage on the season, and has not allowed a goal in a game where she played all 90 minutes.

Also picking up her second conference honor was Foote, who ran 21:38 over the weekend at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. to finish 19th in a field of 422 runners. Her time was the fastest 6k time in the Northwest Conference for the season and ranks 5th all-time at George Fox. Her efforts helped the Bruins compete in a stacked field that featured many nationally-ranked teams.

Lam and the women's soccer team will be facing off against Pacific at home on Wednesday, October 8th, while Emily Foote and the cross country team are headed to Salem, Ore. for the George Oja Invitational on Saturday, October 18th.
