NEWBERG, Ore. -- Laura Schott has stepped down as head coach of the George Fox University women's soccer program.
Schott became the fourth coach of the program in March of 2020, serving six years at the helm in Newberg. In her second season, Schott helped lead the team to their best finish in 14 years, placing third in the Northwest Conference with a 10-4-2 NWC mark (12-6-2 overall). The Bruins would again finish third in the conference in 2022.
In her six years with George Fox, the Bruins would total 11 All-NWC Athletes, with two First Teamers. Five Fox athletes were named NWC Student-Athlete of the Week a total of eight times, and an additional five were named to the CSC Academic All-District teams.
Schott finishes her time in Newberg with a 40-44-21 record and 31-39-14 mark in Northwest Conference play.
