HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference announced its Student-Athletes of the Week in Golf for the week of September 23rd through September 29th, with the Bruins'
Ashlyn Johnson picking up the weekly honor on the women's side.
Johnson impressed in just her second collegiate tournament, nearly winning the Division II Saint Martin's Invitational. The freshman shot a 75 (+3) on day one and a 70 (-2) on day two to finish in second place with a 145 (+1). Johnson had four birdies on the last day, with three coming on the back nine alone, as the Bruins finished seventh in the D-II Invite.
The Bruins women's golf team will be back in action on Saturday, October 5 for round one of the Pacific Invite, where Johnson aims to make it two NWC honors in her first three competitions.
