HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference coaches have voted and the 2024 All-Conference roster and major awards have been announced, with
Brenden Borck and
Truman Fletcher each finding themselves on the First Team.
For Borck, it marks the third time that the Bruin senior has been named to the First Team — becoming the first George Fox men's golfer since Mason Koch to be named to three All-NWC First Teams. Bock finished 25th at the NWC Fall Classic, but bounced back with back-to-back solid finishes, placing fifth at the Spring Classic and sixth at the NWC Championship.
Fletcher had a similar story, placing 16th at the Fall Classic and 10th at the Spring Classic before an incredible day at the Championship; there, the junior shot a 142 (-1) to tie for first place, losing on the second round of the playoff to Linfield's Douglas Bailey to finish just short of the medalist spot.
Thanks in part to the two Bruins' performances in the final two competitions, Fox shot up from sixth place to fourth overall in the conference standings. Bock and Fletcher became the first duo of Bruins since Mason Koch and Joshua Lackey in 2018-19 to both be named to the First Team.
Though Borck will graduate from the program, Fletcher and the rest of the Bruins will be back in 2024-25, hunger to take the next step as a program.
