Brad and Katharine Stoffer have one of the most recognizable last names on the campus of George Fox University. The Stoffer family donated $1.2 million to George Fox University in 2009 to construct the Austin Sports Complex and Stoffer Family Stadium.

The Stoffers, whose son Willie attended the university at the time (sadly, Willie passed away in November of 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer), made the pledge with support from the Boedecker Foundation, on which Brad serves as a trustee. The donation was critical to the university's decision to reinstate intercollegiate football in 2014 after a 46-year hiatus, as it allowed the school to move forward with the first phase of construction on the stadium in which the Bruins now play. In addition to funding construction of the stadium, the gift allowed George Fox to install a multi-use synthetic turf field at the Austin Sports Complex that could be used for soccer and lacrosse.

The Stoffers have been major contributors throughout the years to the university, and to student-athletes in particular. Brad Stoffer has been and continues to be an entrepreneur. He has owned several businesses, including Smith CFI in Portland, and has opened more than 70 Quiznos in Oregon. He was also the co-creator of the Crocs brand company. Katharine Stoffer is a graduate of Lewis & Clark College, where she studied health and sociology. She loves the arts, is passionate about volunteering for the arts, and above all is kind, creative and a wonderful mother. Currently, Brad and Katharine play a principal role in the Boedecker Foundation, which supports youth causes around the world.
