Jeff Nelson was a record-setting goalkeeper for the soccer team from 1991 to 1994. During his career, Nelson left his name all over the Bruin record books. He holds team records for lowest goals-against average in a season (0.71 in 1993) and a career (0.92). He also holds the record by a goalkeeper for the most shutouts in a season  (14 in 1993) and a career (34). As a senior, he was the team's Most Valuable Player. A three-time NAIA All-District 2 and All-Area/Region selection, Nelson was named the NAIA National Goalkeeper of  the Year in 1994. He was an NAIA Third Team All-American in 1993 and a NAIA Second Team and NSCAA/Umbro First Team All-American in 1994. He played professionally for the Cascade Surge and now serves as an assistant coach for the Bruins.
