Hall of Fame
The 2004 Baseball team brought home the first NCAA National Championships in George Fox History. The team finished with an overall record of 40-10 with a 15-1 record at home. They went 4-0 in the West Regional and 5-1 in the World Series. To bring the Championship home to Newberg, the 2004 team took down No. 1-ranked Eastern Connecticut State University, 6-3 in the title game. They had 12 players receive All-Northwest Conference honors including Player of the Year Scott Hyde. Hyde and David Peterson received Fit Team All-American honors on the year. Coach Pat Bailey was named NCAA Division III West Region Coach of the Year & NCAA Division III National Coach of the Year. The City of Newberg proclaimed August 30, 2004 to be “George Fox University Bruin Baseball Day.”
