The 2009 Northwest Conference Player of the Year, Matt Wyckoff, remains one of the most prolific players in George Fox baseball history. As of his 2021 Hall of Fame induction year, his name appeared 22 times in the program’s record book – including 18 times among the top 10 in various categories. He is the all-time single-season hits leader (84), tied for No. 2 in single-season RBIs (71), No. 2 in single-season runs scored (68), and No. 6 in career batting average (.394).

Perhaps most impressively, he hit safely in 28 straight games during his senior season of 2009 – one game short of the Bruins’ record. That year he led the NWC in hits, total bases, RBIs, plate appearances, and total at-bats in helping the Bruins share a NWC title, place second in the NCAA Division III West Regional Tournament, and earn a No. 12 national ranking after going 36-11 overall. Not surprisingly, he was named an American Baseball Coaches Association and D3baseball.com All-American that spring.

An All-NWC first-team selection as an outfielder in 2009 and a second-team NWC choice at first base in 2008, Wyckoff is tied for No. 2 all-time in the Bruin record book in career doubles (48), stands at No. 5 in career RBIs (143), is tied for No. 8 in career home runs (20), and is No. 10 in both career runs (149) and career hits (195).
