In only two seasons at George Fox, Brian Martin completely rewrote the record book for assists in men's basketball. With 614 assists, over 100 more than the next closest player, he is the all-time record holder. His other records include the highest assists-per-game average for a career (9.59), the highest assists-per­-game average for a season (11.33) in 1991, the most assists in a season (340  in 1991), and the most assists in a game (20) against Warner Pacific in 1991. Martin was second all-time in NAIA District 2 in career assists and single-season assists and tied the district record for assists in a game. He directed the Bruins in his two seasons to a 53-11 record, and to the NAIA District 2 Championship and a spot in the NAIA National Tournament in 19.90. He averaged 11.3 points and 4.6 rebounds a game as well and graduated magna cum laude in 1991.
