A four-sport athlete, Melody Groeneveld McMaster starred for George Fox in track, basketball, volleyball and softball. As a basketball forward, she set five NAIA-era school records, including career points (1,629), career rebounds (1,067), and single-game points (3 7). She won the 1983 NAIA District 2 high jump at 5 feet, 3 inches. In 1984, she earned team MVP and National Christian College Athletic Association All-American honors on the George Fox volleyball squad that won the NCCAA title.
