Dan LaVeine was one of the most honored athletes in George Fox history, holding virtually every record in men's soccer. He was selected as the NAIA District 2 Player of the Year in 1989 and NAIA Honorable Mention All-America in 1990. He also was honored by the NCCAA as a four-time First Team All American, and NCCAA National Player of the Year in 1990 after leading the Bruins to their second NCCAA National Championship in three seasons. His NCCAA honors also include being selected NCCAA National Tournament MVP in 1987, 1988 and 1990. He holds career records in points (301), goals (130) and assists (41). His season records include most points (98), goals (43) and assists (41), and his single-game marks include points (17) and goals (7). His career totals in points and goals are NAIA national records. In addition to his significant on-field accomplishments, LaVeine was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete All-American in 1989 and 1990 and an NCCAA Academic All-American in 1990.
