Mike Livingston attended George Fox from 1965-67 under head coach Terry Haskell. In football, Livingston was known as the most versatile player on the field. He played wide receiver, running back, quarterback and a defensive back during his time. He had the nickname "Lightnin' Livvy", which he was given due to the fact he was so fast and could elude tacklers at will. He was a two-year starter on the men's basketball team and played one season for the baseball team. As a shortstop, he led the team in hitting and was a first-team Oregon Collegiate Conference All-Star. He was also selected for the District 2 NAIA All-Star Team as a utility infielder – becoming the first Bruin to earn this honor. In the spring of 1967, Livingston was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam and was discharged in 1970. For almost 40 years, he owned and operated Livingston Construction in Portland.
