Nancy Rissmiller was named the 1996 NAIA National Female Athlete of the Year by College Sports magazine. During her four-year George Fox career, she won two NAIA national high jump titles and earned 11 All-American awards as a track and basketball athlete. She earned four All-American Scholar-Athlete honors, and was named GTE At-Large Spring Academic All-American. She holds the Bruin records for the high jump (5-10) and in the 4x400-meter relays (3:46.06). As a basketball forward, she was an NAIA Division 11 Second Team All-American and the Northwest Conference Player of  the Year in 1998. On the all-time George Fox career lists, she ranks sixth in scoring (1,403 points, 13.4 ppg.), fourth in rebounding (907 rebounds, 8.6 rpg) and seventh in steals (205 steals, 2.0 spg).
