George Fox University

A talented thrower whose name appeared on top of the George Fox record books for over 40 years, Allan Morrow set George Fox records in 1977, 1978, and 1979 in the hammer throw, while his indoor shot put record was the best in team history for 45 seasons. A member of the 1979 Hall of Fame Men’s Track & Field team, Morrow was the top point scorer for the year for the team and was voted most inspirational. The Bruin team leader went on to become a minister and chaplain, eventually marrying current GFU track and field head coach John Smith to his wife, Dawn.
