Bob Armstrong starred in three sports during the late 1940's. For the football team he was quarterback, kicker, punter, halfback, fullback, and played nearly every defensive position. As a basketball forward, he started all four years. He was the No. 1 pitcher on the baseball team. In one game, he struck out 15 Lewis & Clark College batters. He hit over .400 in three of his seasons. After graduation, he became a teacher and coach.
