Patty Findley came to work at George Fox in 1984 and faithfully served the university for 34 years until her retirement in 2018. Findley began her career at Fox working in the teacher education and communications departments before taking over as the administrative assistant for the Athletics department in 1997.

Findley served as the office manager, the schedule coordinator for Human Health and Performance, and acted as a supervisor for the athletic department’s work-study interns for more than 20 years. She still keeps the official scorebook for all women’s basketball home games. Findley did a wonderful job of embodying the university’s “Be Known” promise in her time at Fox as she interacted with literal thousands of George Fox student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and family members. If you know George Fox athletics, you know Patty Findley.

Findley is a graduate of Newberg High School. After her children had the "audacity to grow up," she worked for the school district for four years before coming to George Fox in 1984. She also served the university as a member of the George Fox Auxiliary and the Serve Day Committees, and sat on a variety of committees at Newberg Friends Church.
