In 20 seasons, Manfred Tschan coached George Fox to two NCCAA national titles, two NAIA District 2 titles, one NAIA Area 1 championship, and one Northwest Conference crown. As an assistant coach in 1988, he helped lead the Bruins to their first NCCAA title. He was co-head coach in 1989, then spent 18 years as head coach, compiling a record of 187-163-21. The Bruins made the NCCAA playoffs twice (1989-90), winning District 8 and national championships in 1990 with a 21-3-1 (.860) record and setting Bruin marks for wins and winning percentage. The Bruins made the NAIA playoffs six times (1990-93, 1996-97), winning District 2 crowns in 1990 and 1993, the Area 1 title in 1993, and playing in the NAIA National Tournament in 1993 . From 1991-98, George Fox was ranked in  the NAIA Top 25  at some point in six of those years. The Bruins were Northwest Conference champions in 1995 and finished second twice. He was NAIA District  2 and NAIA Area 1 Coach of the Year in  1993  . Nine of his players were All-Americans, 11 went on to play professional soccer, and one made it  to the National Football League as a placekicker. With two seasons as women's coach at Oregon and three with the men at Concordia (Ore.), Tschan had a 25-year record of 251-192-29, and ranked in the top 50 among all coaches at the NCAA Division 111 level for career wins.
