Hall of Fame
Those who saw Howard Crow perform for George Fox in four different sports over the course of four years acknowledge that he was the Bruins' best athlete for each team he represented. As a center on the basketball team, he scored 1,090 points in 85  games, averaging 12.8 points per game. He ranks 25th on the all-time Bruin list for career points. He also led the team in rebounding each season. He was a three-year letterman for the football and track and field teams, and also played baseball for one year. He played end on the football team, leading the Bruins in catches and receiving yards, and served as a coÂ-captain in 1961. In track and field, he competed in the shot and discus, winning both in the Willamette Christian College Conference meet in 1960. Leadership in  the athletic arena served him  well when, as a senior, Howard was chosen by the students as the George Fox college student body president for the 1960-61 school year.
