The 2011-12 women’s basketball team at George Fox is one of the all-time programs, not just at the university, but in the Northwest Conference. In Head Coach Mike Meek’s second season at the helm, the Bruins ripped off 32 wins in a row — including a set of four victories over a challenging Lewis & Clark program — and played their way to the NCAA title game at DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland, Mich.
The team finished the season with a 32-1 record, the No. 2 ranking from D3hoops.com, two All-Americans — Keisha (Gordon) Olsen and Hannah (Munger) Williams — the D3hoops Coach of the Year in Meek, the NWC Player and Coach of the Year honors, NWC regular and postseason titles, and three All-NWC selections. The team also ranked Top 10 in four statistical categories at the end of the 2011-12 season, and Munger was named to the D3Hoops All-Decade team in 2020.
