Cindy (Warner) Holmes, a four-year letter winner, was chosen NAIA District 2 First Team and Honorable Mention All-American in both the 1990 and 1991 seasons. She was also chosen NCAA First Team All-American during her final season at George Fox. Combining a unique blend of power and intelligence as a hitter and pinpoint passing skills as a defender, she ranked second allÂ-time at George Fox in career kills with 1,270 and second all-time in career digs with 1,556, records she held until  1999. She also holds second place in career service aces with 195. Her digs- per-game average of  4.51,  set in 1990, is the third-best in the university's volleyball history. Never the tallest player, nor the most outstanding jumper, her accomplishments include holding the fifth- and sixth-highest totals in kills for a single season in 1990 and 1991. Holmes' off-the-court accomplishments have been significant as well, as she was named an NAIA District 2 Scholar-Athlete and was selected NAIA Academic All-America First Team in 1990.
