Hall of Fame
Since returning to Newberg in 1973 upon their retirement as teachers, Curtis and Margaret Morse have become two of the most ardent supporters of Bruin athletics. The 11.5-acre athletic complex on the north side of the campus that contains the university's baseball, softball and soccer fields was dedicated on Feb. 25, 1989, in the name of this loyal couple, who funded the $40,000 upgrading and development project. While a student at George Fox, then known as Pacific Academy, Curtis Morse played football, soccer, and ran track. He also once won a personal challenge to run from the college up Chehalem Mountain in less than an hour, a feat that required five and-a-half-minute miles.
