George Fox University

Mike Wirta has been the George Fox basketball programs' most loyal supporter. As volunteer statistician, he entered the 199 7-98 season having recorded 346  consecutive men's basketball games home and away, and has not missed a home game since 1972 . He maintains the Wheeler Sports Center as its custodian and is a valued researcher of George Fox sports history. Wirta has been named George Fox's Volunteer of the Year and  to the  NAIA District 2 Hall of Fame.
